Synopsis:
A blind masseur arrives in a town ruled by rival gangs and sets about righting a few wrongs, revealing himself to be none other than an infamous guru of swordsmanship.
Review:
Another variation of Yojimbo and itself a revisiting of a popular Japanese film series, Kitano's version has the twist of the old innkeeper himself being the evil Mr Big and many other displays of jokeyness, including musical interludes and a character rather like the insane brother in Arsenic and Old Lace who charges around with weapon outstretched. It's a hugely entertaining piece, enjoyable at all levels.
