Wolfen (1981)
Country: US
Technical: col/scope 115m
Director: Michael Wadleigh
Cast: Albert Finney, Diane Venora, Edward James Olmos
Synopsis:
A New York cop finds himself investigating a case apparently involving werewolves.
Review:
The star acquits himself very well in this opportunistic spin-off from the American Werewolf/Howling lycanthropic mini-craze, well-directed at times, in the roving camera manner made popular by Sam Raimi's Evil Dead, but rather silly, especially at the end. Story subtleties are swamped by flamboyant bloodletting.
