A generally pleasant attempt to turn the Wolfman narrative into a romantic vehicle à la Jekyll and Hyde. It rides high on star quality, though ultimately cannot sustain itself through to the end. It is, however, preferable to the Del Toro reboot that followed a decade or two later.
