Wild Man Blues (1997)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 105m
Director: Barbara Kopple
Cast: Woody Allen, Soon-Yi Previn, Letty Aronson

Synopsis:

A documentary film crew accompanies Woody and his New Orleans jazz band on their European tour.

Review:

An at times revealing portrait, showing several well-known neuroses to be based on fact, and, from a more prurient standpoint, the intimate life of the couple about whom much had been written at the time. There is less music than one might expect, though it is pretty good, and none of the expected banter with the audience: clearly Allen is a performer who keeps his personae separate.
