Welcome to Collinwood (2002)

£0.00

Country: US/GER
Technical: CFI/2.35:1 86m
Director: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo
Cast: William H. Macy, Isaiah Washington, Sam Rockwell, Michael Jeter, Luis Guzmán, Patricia Clarkson, George Clooney

Synopsis:

Two-bit ex-cons in Cleveland get wind of a 'Bellini', a job to end all jobs, when they are each invited to serve the grand theft auto rap of the man on the inside so that he can pull off the job himself; they form an unlikely team and attempt the robbery without him.

Review:

Another remake from the Soderbergh stable, this time of the 50s Italian classic, I Soliti Ignoti. It's brisk and cheerful enough, and the robbery sequence is uproarious, but it seems to inhabit another world from its very realistic trappings and Clooney is not on screen for long enough.
