Noone explains why the rampaging predator gouges its victims eyes out. Otherwise this is an excitingly handled variation on the stalk-'n-slash formula, with the stock dubious officials, disbelieving cops and precocious youngsters. Music by Joel Goldsmith: definitely a relation.
