Country: US/GB/GER
Technical: col/2.35:1 132m
Director: James McTeigue
Cast: Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Rea, Stephen Fry, John Hurt, Tim Pigott-Smith, Sinéad Cusack

Synopsis:

In a London of the future under the sway of a totalitarian regime, a former victim of government experiments plots to fulfil Guy Fawkes's mission and blow up the Houses of Parliament. And he does.

Review:

Based on a comic strip, ubiquitous form of cinematic inspiration, this piece of high camp is tremendous fun, sporting a cultured, Shakespeare-spouting, tortured soul behind a mask and the delightful Natalie Portman, not to mention a half dozen or so under-used British actors, with the exception of Hurt who gets to rant a lot.
