Toy Story 2 (1999)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: Technicolor 95m
Director: John Lasseter
Cast: Voices: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack

Synopsis:

Woody is stolen by a toy collector and learns about natural obsolescence and the finite nature of a child's love. Will he choose eternal life in a museum case or allow himself to be rescued by his toy friends?

Review:

The creators have done it again. I suppose the logical step forward from a toy gaining the awareness that it was a toy was in its gaining awareness of its own mortality, but that's easy to say in hindsight. Suffice it to say that in addition to hitting a few more bullseyes such as the Barbie dolls and the collector's phenomenal sloth in driving across the street to work, the makers also supply the laughter, thrills and tears we were treated to in the first movie. The animation is even more astounding.
