There's Something about Mary (1998)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: DeLuxe 119m
Director: Peter and Bobby Farrelly
Cast: Cameron Diaz, Matt Dillon, Ben Stiller, Lee Evans, Chris Elliott

Synopsis:

An unlucky but well-meaning type almost goes out with the prom queen in college, and a decade later tracks her down with the aid of a private dick who has decided to move in on her himself.

Review:

A When Harry Met Sally travesty riddled with the humour of embarrassment - most of it the audience's - in the makers' habitual gross-out vein, featuring gags involving genitalia caught in a fly and semen unwittingly used as hair gel, not to mention plenty to offend dog lovers and paraplegics. It barely raises a smile on the small screen, though at the time it was a successful date movie, and the first to be quite as explicit.
