The Rare Breed (1966)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 97m
Director: Andrew V. McLaglen
Cast: James Stewart, Maureen O'Hara, Brian Keith

Synopsis:

An immigrant and her daughter enlist the help of a cowboy in realising her late husband's dream of introducing the Hereford breed of cattle into the United States.

Review:

Meandering Western in want of direction, settling instead into two differing halves, dominated by Jack Elam and Keith respectively, the latter in a typically full-blooded performance as a Scot. Fortunately the company is pleasant, though, as so often, Ben Johnson scarcely gets more than a look-in, and Stewart is in one of his less stable incarnations.
