An attempt to revise this material in much the same way as the Musketeer stories: realistic detail and superb locations are married to sixties irreverent humour (at times the result is uncomfortably close to Monty Python). It sort of works but the romantic Tristram/Yseult stuff over-eggs the pudding somewhat.
