Resurrection Man (1998)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: Rank 102m
Director: Marc Evans
Cast: Stuart Townsend, Geraline O'Rawe, James Nesbitt, Brenda Fricker, John Hannah, Derek Thompson

Synopsis:

Seventies Belfast, and a protestant momma's boy with psychotic tendencies is used by Loyalists as an indiscriminate weapon of terror in the conflict. Meanwhile a journalist grapples with domestic problems and pens a series of articles on the gang's exploits; he too is a pawn in the political game.

Review:

Rather disjointed and at times extremely unpleasant character study, reminiscent of The Krays in its deployment of the mother figure. Unusual in that it depicts the troubles from the Loyalist angle, and as such perhaps a deliberate hatchet job, it did introduce a trio of up and coming actors and has atmosphere.
