Review:
Rafelson's remake seems to exist solely for the extra vim afforded its sexual interludes by a more realistic and permissive era. These are erotic enough, if you like doing it covered in flour and eggs, but Nicholson and the director no longer seemed to strike sparks. Film was notable for boosting Lange's career as a serious actress, however.
