Psycho II (1983)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 113m
Director: Richard Franklin
Cast: Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, Meg Tilly

Synopsis:

Norman Bates is released from the state mental facility, to the outcry of Lila Loomis, née Crane. He strikes up a friendship with a waitress at the local diner, but his attempts to live a normal life are frustrated when murders resume in the vicinity of the Bates mansion.

Review:

Franklin does a decent job of directing this reasonably sensible sequel in the manner Hitch might have done himself. It is of course full-colour and full-blooded - we have moved on - but the key delight is seeing Perkins take up his former role with such élan.
