Private Parts (1997)
Country: US
Technical: col 109m
Director: Betty Thomas
Cast: Howard Stern, Robin Quivers, Mary McCormack
Synopsis:
The rise of a disc jockey from archetypal 'loser' to groundbreaking exploiter of the zeitgeist.
Review:
Considering the propensity to shock of its subject, and our by now jaded appetites, this autobiopic shows comparative restraint and fidelity to events in the terms in which they happened. As with Lenny, one must put oneself in the conservative mindset of Seventies American broadcasting. Having said that, it is not for the prudish but is agreeably zany in an Animal House sort of way.
