Synopsis:

Well-acted and ravishingly filmed exotic intrigue, which is alas desperately short of real meat in the material, and merely simmers away until the sudden tragic denouement. The story of the archaeologist (Dance), who at last finds a genuine artefact after years of fakery, is affecting.
