Number Seventeen (1932)
Country: GB
Technical: bw 63m
Director: Alfred Hitchcock
Cast: Leon M. Lion, Anne Grey, John Stuart
Synopsis:
A detective tracks down a bunch of thieves who have committed a daring robbery.
Review:
Primitive early Hitchcock sound film, with little ambient noise, but rigorously cut with more individual shots in this short running time than in the average 90 minute effort. There is also some delightful model work during a chase in the last reel, and one of those would-be light relief cockney characters who ought to have got his in the first.
