Nightwing (1979)

£0.00

Country: US/NL
Technical: col 105m
Director: Arthur Hiller
Cast: David Warner, Kathryn Harrold, Stephen Macht, Nick Mancuso

Synopsis:

An Indian reservation is stricken by plague-carrying bats, and a scientist and others attempt to tag the creatures so they can identify their source.

Review:

Instead of opting for the naturalistic approach of Saul Bass's Phase IV, Hiller's film unwisely attempts to emulate the likes of The Birds, to underwhelming effect. There is little tension separating the repetitive attack scenes, and much of the action takes place in the dark, leading to audience fatigue.
