Review:
The film which set its star off on a considerable future as more than just a child actress. Viewed now it is wholesome family entertainment which retains some power to charm but is mostly of interest for its quaint view of coastal Surrey (!), its soundtrack's collection of Britannic classics, however inappropriate, and a historic picture of Aintree, recreated of course in California.
