The Griswalds go across country from Chicago to California's Whalley World, but it is not a smooth ride.
Review:
Dire comedy with next to nothing to do with National Lampoon's Animal House, from which it desperately attempts to draw some box-office clout. Miss D'Angelo is required to strip for a gratuitous Psycho-inspired shower scene in the first five minutes, presumably to discourage punters from leaving the theatre in the hope of more action later on. They will be disappointed, in every respect. More depressingly, this was successful enough to be followed by a sequel, National Lampoon's European Vacation.
