The Mountain Men (1980)
Country: US
Technical: col/scope 102m
Director: Richard Lang
Cast: Charlton Heston, Brian Keith, Victoria Racimo
Synopsis:
A pair of frontiersmen trap for fur, fight off hostiles and are sustained by their search for a legendary valley where the beaver are docile and the squaws willing.
Review:
Unreconstructed selfmade men are what you get in this most politically incorrect of westerns, and which two actors better qualified to play them! Essentially, Heston gets the Rooster Cogburn treatment, courtesy of his son's screenplay, and it is entertaining enough for the thick-skinned.
