The Man in the Iron Mask (1998)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: DeLuxe 132m
Director: Randall Wallace
Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Gérard Depardieu, Gabriel Byrne, Anne Parillaud

Synopsis:

The queen of France bears twins and the existence of one is kept a secret to avoid civil war. When the prince turns into a despot the famous musketeers realize their mistake and attempt to perform a switch, but D'Artagnan is loyal to the king.

Review:

Fairly spirited old-fashioned adventure, produced with all the expected flourishes and featuring the most interesting set of musketeers yet cast. Still, it does not have the magic of the Lester films and much depends on one's tolerance of the juvenile lead.
