Synopsis:
The robbers of a Cape Town bank are actually being paid by a U.S. senator to steal an incriminating disc drive, but when things go wrong the surviving members have their work cut out evading the cleaners sent to silence them. Unfortunately for the cleaners, one of them is a former special services operative.
Review:
Sloppily written, fast-paced action thriller which is nevertheless full of holes - why would the senator leave his MacGuffin in such an inconvenient location, anyway? We have a Nikita-style heroine whose identity ceases to be an issue, even though it is compromised in the opening reel, and who gets out of far too many tight spots (in contrast she is so smart and highly trained she doesn't even think to check a gun is loaded). What we do get is an opportunity for smiling villainy for Mr Purefoy, which he seizes with relish, and plenty of repellent violence, though not, it would seem, a resolution.
