Review:
Like Lacombe Lucien, a fascinating insight into life in occupied France, but with more of the uplift of Lelouch's Les Misérables. Not as memorable as either film, but impeccably mounted and acted in convincing Lyonnais locations. The actor who played the officer in Battle of Algiers, Jean Martin, appears as a bookseller.
