Little Caesar (1930)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: bw 77m
Director: Mervyn Le Roy
Cast: Edward G. Robinson, Douglas Fairbanks Jnr

Synopsis:

The rise and violent fall of a bootlegger.

Review:

The first big Warner Bros gangster film of the sound era ushered in the magnetic presence of Edward G. Robinson, so convincing in his portrayal of mobster Rico Bandello that one would have thought they had found him in the Chicago lower depths, not a stock New York theatre company. The film is rough around the edges now but is economically made and still full of interest for cinephiles.
