Licence to Kill (1989)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col/scope 133m
Director: John Glen
Cast: Timothy Dalton, Carey Lowell, Robert Davi

Synopsis:

Bond's old buddy, Felix Leiter, now working with the DEA in Florida, is the victim, together with his bride, of a retaliatory attack by his antagonist Sanchez. Bond sets out in pursuit, defying Secret Service directives.

Review:

More action thriller than espionage globe-trotter and consequently boasting an added quota of violence and endangerment for our hero, who undergoes Indiana Jones-like rough treatment and truck leaping. No more literate or incisive an entertainment than before, but at least one that attempts to ring a few changes. The stunts are outstanding, though there seems to be more dangling out of planes than in The Great Waldo Pepper.
