Synopsis:
Australian diplomat Sir Les Patterson insults an Arab state, escapes death by torture by averting a coup, and consorts with a biological weapons specialist in cahoots with the Soviets. Emerging from an alcoholic haze just long enough to realize his mistake, he joins forces with Dame Edna Everage to save the Pentagon from contaminated toilet seats.

It reads a lot better than it plays, believe me. An almost funny man is given a disconcerting amount of money and pages of sub-Brooksian material to produce a film in which he is, surprise, less funny still.
