Léon (1994)
Country: FR
Technical: col 110m
Director: Luc Besson
Cast: Jean Reno, Gary Oldman, Nathalie Portman
Synopsis:
Orphaned by a corrupt police killing, a 12 year-old girl takes up with a professional hitman who helps her get even.
Review:
Besson takes his Reno character from Nikita and adds a few flourishes, in this his first American film. More importantly, he also discovers the incomparable Natalie Portman. Oldman's Beethoven-loving cop junkie is as derivative as they come but has great fun doing this above-average thriller.
