Lemming (2005)

£0.00

Country: FR
Technical: col 130m
Director: Dominik Moll
Cast: Laurent Lucas, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Charlotte Rampling, André Dussolier, Jacques Bonnaffé

Synopsis:

A young couple invite the boss and his wife to dinner and unleash a chain of events that set the hapless young husband at odds with all three, leading to infidelity, possession, necrophilia and murder.

Review:

Slow to unfold, this Hitchcockian thriller (elements of Vertigo, The Birds, Frenzy are all there) is all the more unsettling for that Gallic matter-of-factness with which it is acted and directed. The lemming is a red herring but manages to be just as creepy as anything else, except perhaps Charlotte Rampling.
