Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
Country: GB/US
Technical: col/2.39:1 129m
Director: Matthew Vaughn
Cast: Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine
Synopsis:
An East-End kid is recruited into a philanthropic organisation resembling the secret service to which his father had belonged, just in time to counter the plans of a billionaire who is giving away SIM cards as a means to curbing world overpopulation.
Review:
007, Austin Powers, Johnny English Matthew Vaughn plays still another variation on the familiar concept, injecting his own brand of smart plotting and some Tarantino violence. The results are profane, fitfully amusing and overlong.
