(Love Me If You Dare)

Country: FR/BEL
Technical: col 94m
Director: Yann Samuell
Cast: Guillaume Canet, Marion Cotillard

Synopsis:

A boy and girl make a dare pact based on the exchange back and forth of a carousel shaped biscuit tin. Unfortunately their dares get more and more outrageous and extend into adult life, making both them and everyone who comes into contact with them very unhappy.

Review:

So why go on? The reasons why this mummy's boy and bullied Polish girl seek escape in such a destructive pastime is never addressed, merely exploited in the manner of some misanthropic flipside of Amélie. One quickly loses patience with the pair of them, and with the director's determination to show off his digital talents.
