The Intruder (1953)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: bw 84m
Director: Guy Hamilton
Cast: Jack Hawkins, Michael Medwin, Hugh Williams

Synopsis:

A retired army commander catches one of his former NCOs attempting to burgle his house, and his attempts to find out how he came to be so reduced lead him to trace others of his wartime association.

Review:

In a sense this intriguing film sits on the tail end of the spiv cycle, since like They Made Me a Fugitive it deals with the reintegration of de-mobbed servicemen. The presentation, however, is blander, and the recourse to flashback perhaps ill-advised.
