This is a classic, non-tricksy documentary which, like Touching the Void, gets much of its charm from the use of talking head shots of the actual participants. The space shots are vivid today still and recapture the thrill and immediacy of those televised moments from years ago, and, as a final title reminds us, this was mankind's one and only foray into manned space exploration.
