A millionaire with a broken leg is left for dead in the Mojave desert by his wife and her mineral prospecting lover.
Review:
Survival drama in which the protagonist who has never had to prove anything to anyone makes the journey from son-of-a-bitch to philosopher, while the treacherous pair desperately cover their tracks. All the Robinson Crusoe clichés are here, while Ryan delivers the corniest running commentary; a rock fall and a hurled lantern supposedly justify the 3-D. Remarkable only for the manner in which we join the set-up midway, with the accident having occurred and the lovers setting things up to mislead the authorities as the titles roll. The snag with that is that we see nothing of their motivation, meaning that we are not sure at first whom we are supposed to be rooting for!
