Country: JAP
Technical: col 128m
Director: Hirokazu Koreeda
Cast: Koki Maeda, Ohshirô Maeda, Nene Ohtsuka

Synopsis:

A pair of brothers separated by their parents' estrangement plan to meet at a given point where the new bullet trains will pass one another at high speeds, in the hope of reuniting the family by making a wish.

Review:

Rather long but touching film about accommodating to loss and growing up: the boys and their pals each have their reasons for making the expedition, but the latter becomes an end in itself. The children, who fill much of the screen time, perform very well, and the film avoids mawkish whimsy.
