Hot Shots! Part Deux (1993)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 90m
Director: Jim Abrahams
Cast: Charlie Sheen, Lloyd Bridges, Valeria Golino, Rowan Atkinson, Miguel Ferrer

Synopsis:

The loose cannon pilot from Hot Shots is hired by the US president to rescue hostages from the hands of Saddam Hussain, but the mission holds a hidden agenda unknown to both.

Review:

Scattergun assemblage of gags, mostly derived from the Rambo movies, on whose hero Sheen's makeup is clearly based, but sequences from such as The Guns of Navarone and Apocalypse Now also receive homage. Funny for those in the mood but likely to outstay its welcome; the lines are less inspired than some of the visuals.
