Country: US
Technical: col 98m
Director: Mark Illsley
Cast: Steve Zahn, Jeremy Northam, William H. Macy, Ally Walker, Illeana Douglas, Ron Perlman

Synopsis:

Escaped cons take on the identities and happy camper of two gay pageant instructors and find themselves expected to prepare the town of Happy's younger females for a beauty pageant. Their initial plan to take the local bank hits complications when the smarter of the two falls for the manager and is fallen for by the sheriff.

Review:

An enticing premise (gay cowboys in the butchest of states) and promisingly uproarious opening alas become overtaken by plotting by numbers, and the laughs quickly run out. Nevertheless, it's still a whole lot better than Hollywood comedy of the mainstream.
