An Irish-American schoolteacher in Texas is raped by an attorney friend with an obsession with handguns, and takes an elaborate revenge.

This film has a docu-drama feel to the acting and handling, enhanced by the absence of non-diegetic music, and it is far from unambiguous about the form the heroine's revenge should take. The rapist is an utter cad, of course, but is seen to have a more serious problem which, for a while, seems likely to afflict the heroine equally. Thoughtful and unexploitative material, despite reading very differenty.
