Solidly put together but relatively disaster porn-free apocalyptic drama, scenes of destruction being limited to the immediate scope of the characters. The storytelling is efficient and free from undue padding, even if the central relationship is a foregone conclusion (nothing like the imminent extinction of the planet to make you grateful for what you got).
