Howard plays one of those ethically conflicted characters he did so well, tempted by a very youthful Anouk Aimée. At the time a somewhat routine crime drama that got lost in the spiv cycle, but more interesting today for its incidentals, such as a villainous Wilfrid Hyde-White.
