Classic Hitchcock espionage shenanigans, with highlights including a murder in a sea of umbrellas and a climax in a Dutch windmill set designed by Rudolph Maté, but let down by its propaganda aspects (the 'lights going out over Europe' speech). Still, the dialogue is relatively sharp and uncorny for all that, it is tightly edited, and the support (Basserman, Benchley and Sanders) is outstanding.
