Flatliners (1990)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/scope 114m
Director: Joel Schumacher
Cast: Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon

Synopsis:

5 medical students experiment with the beyond by putting each other out and leaving longer periods before resuscitation, but ghosts from the past come back with them.

Review:

Reminiscences of Don't Look Now and Dreamscape in a genuinely spooky tale which , being Hollywood, has eventually to stop being spooky and allow optimism to take root. The copout is relatively tastefully done, however. As usual the director does not quite know when to stop with his visual flamboyance and, though handsome, the film is littered with plastic drapes and drifting clouds of dry ice for every exterior.
