Fatal Instinct (1993)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: DeLuxe 88m
Director: Carl Reiner
Cast: Armand Assante, Sherilyn Fenn, Kate Nelligan, Sean Young, Tony Randall, James Remar

Synopsis:

An incompetent but steadfast private eye-cum-lawyer is approached by a mysterious woman who appears simply to want his body. Meanwhile his stay-at-home wife is being flagrantly unfaithful and plotting to kill him, and a former convict is gunning for revenge.

Review:

Woebegone parody of the obvious titles plus everything from Body Heat to Cape Fear. Some jokes have been stolen from other stables, others are used more than once here for good measure; it's a wonder the cast have the face to walk through it, though Sean Young at least gives her role every ounce of energy it doesn't deserve. She seems to get landed with these psychotic parts (cf. Ace Ventura Pet Detective).
