Wholesome family entertainment, though rather prolonged, in which the all-hands-on-deck rehabilitation of a dolphin's tail runs in tandem with the cousin swimmer's adjustment to a crippling war wound. It is all very upbeat and soft-edged, with every character directed by unambiguously selfless motives, in spite of all the break-up, bereavement and cold-hearted capitalism written into the scenario.
