Deadly Strangers (1975)
Country: GB
Technical: col 88m
Director: Sidney Hayers
Cast: Hayley Mills, Simon Ward, Sterling Hayden
Synopsis:
A young woman perhaps unwisely accepts a lift from a young man who may be an escapee from a mental hospital.
Review:
Slightly hackneyed woman-in-peril thriller which at least benefits from unity of time and action. Ward's affectless physiognomy is put to good use, and the locations are a fascinating social document of Britain in the mid seventies. Dramatically, though, a bit of a dead duck.
