Review:
With a plot more or less the same as the second Ice Age movie, and ever more spectacular animated effects - and excessive violence - this is in many ways the standard family fare of the day: high-energy sequences based around rollercoaster or predator-prey concepts, dry humour straight out of the TV sitcom, and a warm moral to take away: in this case, follow the light, look to tomorrow, and there will always be hope. Despite the alarming regularity with which the settings switch from the arid to the lush, and back again, it is one of the more engaging efforts of its year.
