The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/1.78:1 113m
Director: Michael Apted
Cast: Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes, Will Poulter

Synopsis:

Edmund and Lucy return to Narnia through a painting while staying in Oxford with their cousin during the war, and there they find themselves aboard ship with Prince Caspian, as he attempts to reunite seven swords that belonged to the Lords of Telmar, before a sinister green mist exerts its malign influence over his kingdom.

Review:

Good-looking but oddly dispassionate continuation of the Narnia film treatments, with a wonderfully realized Reepicheep (voiced by Simon Pegg, sounding very much like John Hurt) but suffering from no real villain to get hold of. Nevertheless, the children do very well and similarly aged audiences will find little to complain about.
