Carry on up the Khyber (1968)

£0.00

Country: GB
Technical: col 88m
Director: Gerald Thomas
Cast: Sidney James, Kenneth Williams, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims, Bernard Bresslaw, Roy Castle, Terry Scott

Synopsis:

All that stands between Sir Ruff-Diamond and his decadent colonial lifestyle, and the vengeful Khazi of Kalabar, is his brave regiment of Third Foot and Mouth.

Review:

Perhaps the last of the Carry Ons to really raise a titter, this Gunga Din parody has North Wales stand in for the Northwest Frontier, but the sun does come out occasionally. Roy Castle comes aboard as Capt. Keene, and it is all now so wondrously politically incorrect one smiles in recollection. Which is probably how it is best left.
