(Die Bitteren Tränen der Petra Von Kant)

Country: GER
Technical: col 124m
Director: Rainer Werner Fassbinder
Cast: Margit Carstensen, Irm Hermann, Hanna Schygulla

Synopsis:

A fashion designer who is having a co-dependent affair with her assistant, falls for a friend of her cousin's who has returned home from Australia, and before long a triangular lesbian power play is in progress.

Review:

Excruciatingly boring and set entirely in von Kant's apartment, Fassbinder's melodrama of solitude and dependency makes its points clear from the off and then reiterates them for two hours. At least it looks decent enough.
