Buffalo 66 (1997)

£0.00

Country: CAN/US
Technical: col 110m
Director: Vincent Gallo
Cast: Vincent Gallo, Christina Ricci, Ben Gazzara, Anjelica Huston

Synopsis:

The son of dysfunctional parents is paroled, having done time to pay off a gambling debt, and returns to his neighbourhood with a girl he has kidnapped to pretend she is his wife.

Review:

The title stems from the team our hero's mother avidly supports and whose débâcle in '66 she lays at his door since it was his birthyear. Having said that, the narrative soon leaves these roots and follows an episodic structure designed perhaps to show us why he turned into such a boorish loser, by casting him against the backdrop of an even more drab and depressing society.
